As the office administrator/secretary of the UI Labor Center, Noel VanDenBosch handles administrative work, communication, registration and conference logistics, and materials preparation associated with all Labor Center on-campus and off-campus programming.

In 2018, Noel joined IATSE Local 191 (Cedar Rapids) and has worked as a union stagehand since. In June of 2025, she transferred to Local 690 in Iowa City. Noel began her employment at the University of Iowa in 2019 as the medical student coordinator for the Department of Surgery, until she transitioned to the role of office manager for the Program in Bioethics and Humanities in 2022. In August 2023, she felt a call for adventure and traveled around the world for a year. Having returned to Iowa, Noel is grateful to be a part of the important work provided by the Labor Center.
